Sunday Service Operations

Department: Admin
Accountable to: Executive Assistant
Time Commitment: Sunday mornings, including pre-service briefings at 10:00 am and post-service duties as required. Plus, 4 hours per week to complete admin tasks.

Role Description

The Sunday Service Operations curate a welcoming and engaging Sunday service experience for our church community. This pivotal role involves orchestrating the logistics and operations to ensure all aspects run smoothly and efficiently.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Service Planning
    • Work closely with the Senior Pastor and Executive Assistant to plan and coordinate Sunday worship services, aligning them with the church’s vision and objectives.
  • Communication and Coordination
    • Maintain regular and effective communication channels with Hospitality, Worship, and Media teams, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of services.
    • Collaborate with these teams to create an atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth and community engagement.
    • Conduct Sunday service briefings at 10:00 am to ensure all team members are informed and prepared for the day’s activities.
  • Logistics Management
    • Oversee the logistical aspects of the Sunday service, ensuring all components, from seating arrangements to technical requirements, are in place for a smooth and efficient service.
    • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the service, coordinating prompt resolution and necessary maintenance.
  • Service Execution Oversight
    • Monitor the flow of the service, ensuring timely transitions between segments and managing any unforeseen circumstances or interruptions.
    • Provide support to volunteers and team members involved in executing the service, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Guest and Attendee Experience
    • Ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees, including guests and newcomers, ensuring they feel valued and embraced within the church community.
    • Facilitate an environment that encourages engagement, participation, and a sense of belonging among service attendees.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for scheduling and communication
  • Prior experience in coordinating events or managing operations is preferred
